The highlight of the sporting year in Jacksonville, however, has to be the post-season college Gator Bowl.
As you might expect from a Floridian city, Jacksonville has hot, humid summers and mild, dry winters. Expect plenty of rainfall between May and September, with intense thunderstorms that pass quickly. The city averages 212 sunny days, and temperatures during the summer can reach highs of 110 Fahrenheit. As for snow, the city has recorded only three days with measurable snow over the last century.
